Book Haul

So I went on a little book buying spree... probably wasn't the best idea for my wallet, but I am so excited for all of these! I have 176 book on my TBR list and I bought 11 new books. Only 2 of them were actually on my TBR. Honestly I don't know why I even have a TBR because I rarely even use it. The books that I got that were not on my list were all books that I have heard such good things about either on BookTok or Bookstagram.

Neon Gods and King of Wrath have been on my TBR for a long time now. I am definitely a slut for retellings and a sexy, modern, Hades Persephone one to boot? I'm down. King of Wrath was on my list because I have already read Ana Huang's Twisted series (except for the last one, I'm 168 pages in.) and she is definitely becoming one of my auto-buy authors.

I have already started Her Soul to Take and Leon can get it any day he wants. I have only gotten to the graveyard scene and I won't lie, I was getting a little flustered. A Touch Of Darkness is another Hades and Persephone modern retelling. Enough said. Promises and Pomegranates, another H&P retelling but I think its a little more loosely based. A Ruin Of Roses is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with enemies to lovers and an anti-hero MMC. Delicious. Scarred is the second book of the Never After series and I really loved the first book Hooked so I had to get this one too. Bow Before The Elf Queen and Long Live The Elf Queen is a fantasy, enemies to lovers, fated mates series. I just realized that it is actually YA so I think it'll be a good palate cleanser while still being interesting because it is fantasy.

Now that I am going through all of these I didn't realize how many of them were H&P retellings but I'm honestly okay with it. All of these books, aside from the Elf Queen series, are very dark spicy books that I have been leaning towards lately. I can't wait to get into all of these books and see if they are worth the hype. I'll be posting reviews on all of these book as I read them so keep an eye out for those!
